“Color” button: The color button, when clicked on, will display red and blue fonts for starting points of the audioשיעורים . It will also dispaly color overlays for all מראה מקומות (references) on theדף .

If the user clicks between two red font areas, theשיעור  will commence from the preceding red font. Even with the color button turned off, clicking anywhere on the צורת הדף will start the audio recording from the most recent starting point of topic, question, or answer on the currentדף , based on where the user clicked on the page. While an audioשיעור  is in play mode, a user may click on any other red font area of theדף  to restart theשיעור  from that point.

Viewing a מראה מקום (reference) with or without the color overlay turned on:

With or without the color overlay turned on, a user can mouse-over any מראה מקום  on theדף  and the actual reference for that source will automatically pop up. If the user clicks on theמראה מקום , the פרק  orדף  respectively (according to the source) will pop up in a new window (or new tab for mobile devices) with the referenced text scrolled-to and underlined.

“Library button: The library function is a very useful tool to search for any text in:

  • תנ"ך
  • משנה
  • רש"י על תנ"ך
  • טור
  • גמרא
  • שולחן ערוך
  • רש"י על ש"ס
  • רמב"ם
  • תוס' על ש"ס
  • עין משפט
  • When clicking on the library button, a list of the above-mentioned sources is displayed. Clicking on any of the listed sources will open a sub-node list of all sections of the clicked upon source, in a tree structure design. By way of example: clicking on the רמב"ם will open an expanded sub-node list of allהלכות הרמב"ם  inיד החזקה . The same goes for the sub node. Clicking on a sub-node will further open an expanded sub-sub-node list of all sections of the clicked upon sub-node. By way of our previous example: clicking on הלכות יסודי התורה will further open an expanded list of the 10 פרקים  it contains. On the final sub-node for each main node, (in this example, clicking on the specificפרק ) will pop up a window with the actual text of the last sub node. In our example, it will display the actual text of the פרק clicked inהלכות יסודי התורה .

    Clicking a second time on any node or sub-node level will close-out (shrink back) that node level within the Library tree structure design to its original defaulted view.

    “Search” button: The search button is a powerful tool to find any Hebrew phrase or a part of a Hebrew phrase in all the sources in the above-mentioned “Library” function. Upon entering the Hebrew string to search for and clicking “search”, a popup will display with a list of allפרקים  orדפים  respectively (according to the source) that contains the searched string entered. The user can then click on any of the items listed in the new popup, and the actual source text (פרק  or דף ) will pop up in a new window (or new tab for mobile devices) with the Hebrew string phrases searched displayed in red font.

    עין משפט button: Theעין משפט  button, upon being clicked, will pop up a window with all the line items of theעין משפט  for the currentדף  being viewed by the user. Upon clicking one of the line items in the pop up window, a new window (or new tab for mobile devices) will open with the actualהלכה  source of the clicked uponעין משפט  line item. Alternatively, a user can click within the actual area of theעין משפט  on the צורת הדף which will trigger this same function.

    חברותא button: Theחברותא  button will display the contents of theספר חברותא  for the currentדף  being viewed by the user.

    עיון button: Clicking on theעיון  button will display insights into topics for the current דף  being viewed by the user.

    “Gallery button: The Gallery button is an extremely useful tool which will display images for many of the challenging case point scenarios in the followingמסכת :

    מסכת button: Theמסכת  button allows users to switch between differentמסכת .

    Language” button: The Language button allows users to switch between hearing audio recordings in English, Hebrew, and Yiddish for the currentדף  being viewed by the user. The default language is set to English. An additional language button is located in the upper left menu above the main menu.

    “Audio-Player-Sound” button: Clicking the audio-player-sound button, will start playing the audio recording - according to the “Language” button selected - from the first point in topic at the beginning of the currentדף  being viewed by the user. Clicking off the audio-player-sound button will stop and remove the audio controller, at any time during the recording. To pause the audio recording, the user should click the pause button on the actual audio controller.

    A user can minimize or move the audio controller, out of view of theדף , to allow the audioשיעור  to continue playing while he views theדף . A user may control the volume, as well as pausing, forwarding, rewinding, stopping, or restarting the audio by utilizing the appropriate buttons and bars within the audio controller.

    “Review” button: The Review button allows users to play audio recordings in English that contain overviews of the מסכת. For many users it will be a useful tool as a means forחזרה .

    “Bookmark” button: The bookmark button allows users to bookmark a דף. A user can bookmark as manyדפים  as he wishes, allowing him a user friendly interface to easily go back and learn theדפים  he chose to bookmark. A user must be logged in to invoke the bookmark function. Once logged in, the user will see an additional upper right menu option (above the main menu) tiled “Bookmarks”. Upon clicking that menu option, a list of bookmarks will display in the order they were bookmarked by the user. He then has the option to remove, or click on any of the bookmarks listed. Clicking on any of the bookmarks listed will switch the currently viewedדף  to the bookmarkedדף .

    “Calendar” button: The calendar button, upon clicked, will display an English calendar, allowing users to click on any date within the calendar which will trigger switching the current דף to the date clicked upon according to the דף היומי cycle.     “Print” button: The print function allows the user to print the דף, with a choice to include printing theמראה מקומות  (references) for תנ"ך of the currentדף  being viewed by the user. An additional print button is located at the upper left menu above the main menu.

    “Download” button: The download button allows users to download the actual program - for local use - by choosing a range of דפים to download. (In the process of development for mobile devices and the Ipad). A user must be logged in to invoke the download function. An additional download button is located at the upper left menu above the main menu.

    “Previous” button: The previous button, upon clicked, displays the previous דף in the currentמסכת  being viewed.

    “Next” button: The “next” button, upon clicked, displays the subsequentדף  in the currentמסכת  being viewed.

    “Home” button: The home button, upon clicked, will switch the דף being viewed to the current daysדף  according to theדף היומי  cycle.

    Drop-Down” bar: The drop-down bar allows users to select and view any דף  within the current מסכת being viewed.
